A Building
with Memory
The Bradford has been a quiet fixture on Lincoln Street since the late Victorian era — circa 1890. Long before condominiums were common in New England, these two elegant buildings were already part of Worcester's architectural fabric, crafted in a period when builders took their time and materials were meant to last generations.
In 1988, Bradford House Condominium was formally established under Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 183A, converting two distinctive historic structures into 22 privately owned residences. The community has grown into something rarer than a real estate address — it is a genuinely shared home.
178 Lincoln Street carries a MACRIS historic inventory designation (WOR.244) through the Massachusetts Cultural Resource Information System, recognizing its significance to Worcester's architectural and cultural heritage. Together, both buildings reflect a era of craftsmanship that is increasingly rare — and worth preserving.
